Wedding styles: Meringue, Tulle or Color?

When I saw this wedding outfit by Vivienne Westwood on the cover of London Times Style section earlier this year, I fell for the hat. How naughty!

These days it seems most women want to look like a fluffy meringue in their wedding dress. What are the alternatives? I love these dresses from Dior: two vintage and one recent (bottom right): Why not dress in the table ware?

Well, not for me. I would look silly...
The dress below, is more like it: no nonsense at the top, a bit of tulle for fun at the bottom. Unfortunately, I don't know the name of the designer. Do you?

Oh well, better face it -  I don't look good in white. Not my color. 

Maybe I'd go all Indian?

... or African, with bold colors and patterns:
