TrendSpotting 2012. Colortrends #1: Tangerine Orange

Remember last summer, when the Pantone Color Institute named their trendy orange  Burned Orange? Now they've stepped it up a bit and have named the orange shade Tangerine Tango the color of the year 2012. What do you think? Is it a color you would add to your life?

Sophisticated but at the same time dramatic and seductive, Tangerine Tango is an orange with a lot of depth to it, said Leatrice Eiseman, executive director of the Pantone Color Institute®. Reminiscent of the radiant shadings of a sunset, Tangerine Tango marries the vivaciousness and adrenaline rush of red with the friendliness and warmth of yellow, to form a high-visibility, magnetic hue that emanates heat and energy.

Solar Power, a warm yellow hue; 

Sodalite Blue, a maritime blue hue; 

Cabaret, an intense rosy-red hue;

Driftwood, a beige-grey blend;
