How did you spend your Easter/Passover weekend this year?
They say it will snow again tomorrow, so I thought dig in and get my hands dirty,
and spent the day in my garden. Here are a few snapshots
to give you an idea of what it looks like right now.
As you can see I have several projects going on: I took down two tall birch trees the other week, and have now to turn the logs into firewood.
It can't be helped - part of the garden is quite messy right now:
I am also replacing the old concrete slab patio with a wooden one. I've ordered and sorted the wooden planks, and used the old slabs to create a raised, semi circular flower bed.
On the left pic below are my garden posts and other items stacked, waiting to be used. I need to move the plants along the wall, since I'll be making a shed
for my fire wood and gardening tools, along that wall.
Snow again tomorrow? Hard to believe after a day like today.
My raised beds are ready for new seeds and plants.
In some, things are already showing up, like the rhubarbs (bottom left).
How about my frugal lunch today?
